I must jump before the boat sinks, anyone has any idea to do with Storj hardware like disks? Any similar project that still runs fine? Serious question.

Oh, that’s why. You are not supposed to have “storj hardware”. You are supposed to let storj use what was already online anyway. But you have undoubtedly alrady heard this broken record…
IF you dont’ need home server – sell parts on ebay. You will get some cash back, and recurrent savigns on power consumption. You know, $1 saved is equivalent to $1.6 earned.

Okay, reselling is not a bad idea. I’ve been a SNO for 4 years so all has been paid back. I’ll miss this project, I love the idea, what a brilliant idea, and a good tech team. Unfortunately the sale & marketing team are so bad and don’t know how to sell a digital product.
and the leaders team don’t want to listen to their partners, us.
There’s always a healthy market for used HDDs on FB Marketplace (or obviously Ebay). And depending on where you live you may find other IT/homelab buyers in dedicated subreddits (example,example).
It’s pretty easy to sell drives: people are always looking for deals on more space
Definitely sell the drives if they aren’t doing you any good. even old small ones can sell for a few bucks and people somehow find a use for them.

On average network data is going up, so it’s puzzling why you would want to leave early.
Now that deletions are finished and the network starts growing again, he will leave. Exactly at the wrong (or right?) time.
Should have left way earlier if he was unhappy all the time with it.

Many users say they are leaving and then after months I still see them here writing and complaining. If these FAKE SNOs left and left only the SNOs who believe in the project we would all be better off without having to read ridiculous things and posts read and reread hundreds of times. If these SNOs want to leave, do it without making dramatic declarations, it is useless. It is useless to write “I’m leaving because the project sucks” and you want to be pitied. Leave quietly and look for something else to spend your free time on. Thanks
