Payout questions

I’m wondering if it’s safe to just directly pay out to my storj.io wallet so I can reduce my gas fees as much as possible

Yes, Storj accepts zksync-era payments to their own wallets: and you still get the 3% bonus! Win-win!

Alright. I just don’t really see a point since at least in the US It’s not really viable selling small amounts of crypto due to taxes and fees. I’ll switch my wallet address. Do you know if I ever stop using storj for my S3 will they send me my wallet recovery code or just send out my balance?

That link I sent before explains that when you send Storj tokens… they immediately turn it into an equivalent USD balance (based on coin price when the transaction occurred). And that it’s a deposit-only address. So I don’t think you ever hold tokens with them: instead you have a prepaid fiat balance.

Their refund page makes it sound like they do offer them, if you’re actually closing your account.

3% bonus for using zksync-era as node operator payment
10% bonus for depositing storj to client account balance

win-win-win

4x win for HODLers who gamble, and deposit at higher token price.

Hello @Bobby,
Welcome to the forum!

Yes, you can use a deposit address of your satellite account as a destination wallet address for both L1 (Ethereum) and L2 (only zkSync Era so far, please note - zkSync Lite is not supported). However, it’s not a wallet, you would not be able to withdraw anything from it, unless you would close the account.

How often can I close an account? :grinning:

What if you never even used that account?

I do not know, there is nothing about it neither in ToS, nor ToU. But it would be difficult to do very often. If you have had usage in the current billing period, the account can only be closed in the following month.

If there would not be a payout method on file, the trial will expire and the account will be automatically deleted any time.

Even if you were funding the account via storj tokens?

If you funding the account via STORJ tokens it will not be a trial account any longer, unless you deposited less than $10 worth of STORJ tokens (this is a minimum amount to upgrade to PRO).
If you would run out of funds, your account may be frozen due to non-payment. After that you would receive an email that you have a specific amount of time to pay outstanding invoices, otherwise your account would be added to the deletion queue and will be deleted later automatically.
So, please make sure, that you have enough funds either on your CC or on the balance to cover your billing and that you have used an actual email address in your account.
Of course, if there is no usage, the pro account may live as long as you need it.
