Yes. Way too long between the announcement and clarification for TrueCloud users. The huge price hike went rippling across social media, regardless of whether or not emails were sent June 1 to TrueCloud users. I dumped my Storj data immediately and started looking for another solution because it takes time to delete/upload/transfer data and I wasn’t going to wait until the last minute to get hosed with a huge July bill.

August 2026 ivoice will be the first month with a new pricing. July 2026 invoice for usage in June 2026 will still use your current pricing.
Do I understand correctly that a single byte stored on July 1st would trigger the 50 USD minimum on the August bill for non-TrueNAS, non-token-payment customers?
I believe it would have to be enough total usage to add up to at least 1 cent, so about 1.4GB, but I might be wrong
This is a late reply: but maybe it’s better that more time has passed. Most of the money has always come from the US Satellite (so I believe nodes close to the US won-more/earned-more)… but now it seems… worse?
Using Th3Van as a reference the outbound/download traffic has always seemed to move the same way (like if it went up in the EU: it went up in the US… and if it doubled in the EU it doubled in the US… even if the exact numbers weren’t the same). BUT now it seems inbound/upload traffic is noticeably higher in the US. However I know I saw a recent post from a Storjling that they’ve been doing Satellite maintenance (move to a new database?)… so maybe we can’t trust any recent traffic numbers.
Perhaps the new $50-minimum change dropped comparative way more small EU customers than in the US? We probably have to watch things for a few months before we can infer anything.
US1 is not migrated yet. However, it would be weird if the migrated satellite could have a different traffic volume.
