Raspberry Pi 3B+ with Storage Board expansion - Red light

Hi guys.
Noticed an issue on my SNO, the red light blinks from time to time.
Online, common saying points to a insufficient power supply. Well, I have a 5V 4A power supply from the manufacturer (https://geekworm.com/collections/best-sellings/products/raspberry-pi-x820-2-5-inch-sata-storage-board-dc-5v-4a-power-supply-metal-case-kit?variant=21550448574522) , and this was not happening.
Anyone else with this issue?

The power section in RaspberryPi may not have enough performance to power an external drive.

The best solution will be to power the drive separately with a separate power supply. You could use a splitter for simultaneous connection of the disk to a USB port (e.g. in raspberry) and for additional power supply.

Does this expansion pull 5V from the raspis GPIO, then transforms that to 12V to power the SATA drive? A 3.5in HDD may need nearly 10 watts alone, not taking the step-up-transformation into consideration.

My HDD and Storage Board Expansion is 2.5"

That is good, because those drives tend to pull less than 5 watts.

btw what do you mean by this:

What red light?

The power led. The one that is now fixed.

Good to see

What fixed it?

Underclocking the processor to 1100MHz did the trick.
