Really slow vetting node is 3 months old

Hi All,

I just want to a sanity check if my vetting is taking too long, node has been online since a few days before Christmas. I gather data ingress is low this time of year but last time I vetted a node a couple of years ago i dont remember it taking soo long.

Am I expecting too much or do I potentially have an issue?

I started at the beginning of December and not that far ahead of you, I wouldn’t say it’s been too slow

Welcome to the forum.
The storj network is driven by the amount of data that is uploaded and the number of storj nodes. The amount of storj nodes has been growing much faster than the amount of data. This means that each node receives less new data. Less data on your node means less number of audits and therefore vetting takes longer.

I started my node 1/05 and seem to be a little ahead of you. But yeah the last couple weeks have been super slow for vetting

yeah I’m guessing being in AUS doesn’t help me in the slightest
