I think in Germany there are only a few internet infrastructures, so most people who order VDSL get a Deutsche Telekom resale connection and most of the other half uses Vodafone Cable…

Vodafone has an offer right now, I think it is: Cable 1000/x = 40€
1und1 VDSL 50/10 = 35€
Minimum contract duration is mostly 24 months.

we not have time limitations, but if i long custumeh, have litle benefits.
On my main 100/40 VDSL line, I get 116/38mbit
Usually Cable is faster in Germany (and cheaper) but it has issues, e.g. slow connection/high ping on sundays, no IPv6 etc…
Yeah most of the time, new customers get the best deals.

I have new apartments so here is only fiber connection, no wire at all.
Fiber is pretty rare here, most of us have VDSL or cable

Hey, France here: a friend of mine got a pretty interesting deal one year ago: 100/100 fiber connection for 10€ a month.
However this was a special sale thing: we’re usually around 30€/mo for a 300/300 fiber connection these days.
Have 400/40 cable.
No such thing as high pings on sunday or slow connection times.
The speed drops when a lot of people are downloading…
but when that happens a lot, then i just call my provider and get a newer modem that has more downlink capability and the speed is back at 400ish.
Which still is dirt cheap compared to fuckin’ Germany

@twl say dirt cheap? 19 eur 1/1 gig, limitless, fiber on gpon network. If isp would be in great mood, with basic equipment they can provide 2.5/2.5 gig fiber 
and they say dynamic ip, but it never changes. some time ago my isp used to black list some hardcore torrent users, but that was in the past
seems to me that german ISPs aren’t in the best mood generally
