Replacing dead node

Hi Guys,

I have 3 nodes advertising on Node01 - 28967, Node 02 - 28968 and Node 03 - 28969.

Unfortunately Node02 suffered Hard Drive failure and I have tried recovering the data but the amount of failed sectors and data on it will fail the node eventually due to audits. I have a new 3Tb HDD and have to start from the beginning but I was wondering… if I start the new node also with the same port 28968 as the broken node will satellites still try to access the old one and ramp up traffic and even try to query the new node or is that okay?

Would be nice to start the old node with some switches to tell the network it is now dead and remove it

That’s not needed. The network will find out and will take care of it.
All you have to do is to create a new node with new token signed identity and you are ready to go even on the same port like the previous node.
