Just curious where I stand with everyone else… Unfortunately I had a drive failure and lost my original node a couple years ago…. I have two nodes running at home and they’re earning about $5.30/mo per node with 6.5TB stored total.
Something does not add up there. What is average stored per month, not the amount of storage at the end?
If that was an average amount of data stored you should see at least $10 just for storing data, before accounting for egress and repair.
If you don’t — it may mean your node stores trash from low TTL data.
Post screenshots from the dashboard, and you can also see breakdown under the payout information link in the dashboard.
Comparable size my node as of today:
Payout for July
Like 30-40 bucks a month and that’s with four nodes across more disks and been running for like 2.5 years.
I want to move one of the lucky nodes to another location, same ISP, but I’m affraid to not disturb the unknown forces of the univers. ![]()
We need more lucky pieces. ![]()
Exactly. My nodes are not lucky too… 8tb used and $14.75

Nodes are from 8 to 10 months old. Amounts are estimate based on space occupied.
According to Vadim’s great node audit tool, my nodes (behind a single IP) have combined 13,2 TBm used space and payout will be around 25USD for August.
It is a matter of customers uploads and downloads. Obviously this SNO has one or more pieces that are requested a lot. Therefore it has been referred to as “lucky nodes” or “lucky pieces”. It is like a lottery. Not much you can do about it other than participate and cross your fingers.
Of course it is Storjs responsibilty to find more and more customers who upload and download more and more.
Also spread the word where is possible to attract more customers this way too.
I have 2 of those. ![]()
One is from 01.2021, one from 12.2022.
But I have 18 nodes in total.
Maintenance windows denied, lucky piece action going on
haha..
I have 17-18 tb stored, hasn’t moved out of that range in months. Consistently get around $30/month. Central USA w/ fiber 500Mb symmetric home internet connection.
I just realised… those lucky pieces are from US sat and I’m in EU.
