I have a windows laptop sitting around with 800gb dedicated to storj, i control everything from remote desktop and everthing works fine but i would like to share storagenode data folder and storagenode program folder over my local network (i set a password for secure access from my main pc).
Could this potentially damage my node?
From storagenode program folder i would read logs and from data folder i would run earnings calculator(copying database and moving in a dedicated folder)
For the logs you are probably fine. But you can’t safely access the databases over SMB, which is what the earnings calculator would do if you run it directly on the network location. You should be ok copying the databases and running the calculator locally though. It would still be better to stop the node before you copy the databases though. The copy may get corrupted otherwise.
