I don’t know what’s behind this spike in traffic BUT, it’s nice to see, I hope who/whatever it is keeps it up awhile
It will be deleted again. To be honest, I don’t currently believe that the public network is growing. My thoughts are that it will be deleted anyway and customers will go to Storj Select anyway.
If you take out the TTL/test data… I wouldn’t be surprised if many SNOs are back at the same level as they were 4-5 months ago. That’s OK… slow and steady…
You can’t extrapolate long term trends from the short terms ones.
In other words, it makes absolutely no difference what is network doing short term. There is no point in tracking the node size and obsessing over numbers.
Check on your node once a year; but I feel it’s also too frequent.
Yeah its now in trash
How do you know? Not all data is TTL aligned.
Egress spike in this case, not ingress. Sometimes happen
Long term storj experience.
My 30months node are stuck at pre test data value of 8/10tb.
Indeed, @waldeck.jeremy seems to be referring to higher eggress. Maybe it’s related to:
Kinda interesting if so, considering I GE’d saltlake.
Everything that’s NOT saltlake is actual-customer-data right?
Does customer data tend to be TTL aligned?
…because saltlake isn’t part of the equation in my case.
It’s up on them. Some use TTL, some - not.
I did not see consistent spikes across my nodes. a few had bandwidth spikes, but only for one day and not on the same day.
Yeah, I was hopin’ it was gonna be an uptick, but
Long as it keeps on truckin’
