I would have expected it to go down after payout.
it just someone buy, may be storj, as volumes are low, even medium volum make price rize for some time.
Current volume is 3-4 times bigger than usually.
What is the reference date Storj uses to determine the token amount for a node?
No.
I’ve always thought it would be preferable (for node operators) to be paid in stablecoins. Since I don’t have a choice, I always convert my STORJ tokens as soon as I receive them.

The whales are averaging down so they can get out before coinbase delisting.
I’m not sure if you can still short storj in bybit but its worth noting that sometimes they pump it to open short positions before they sell.
You can not trust this company at all to buy any of their token, I’ve made my 50k from this coin in 2021 and I’m dumping the remaining today while its still up.
This token is still 99.2% below the ath, its a complete sh!t show. This company needs to be deleted and delisted everywhere so no one else buying can get financially hurt.

Yeah I guess its this, though its not usually a hype, its people averaging down so they can completely dump their bags.
This token was a very easy way for storj to make money but they’re too stupid to do it correctly to keep the train going.
These guys lost trust now anyway, a lot of holders already out of this token.
I had $102k usd in this token at one point and held for about 1 year and then slowly sold it off based on the dumb sno comments against holders and it made holding incredibly discouraging and nonsensical.
It always was discouraging and nonsensical. You just realized this after people repeatedly were pointing that out. You made a mistake, then slowly fixed it. Good job.
.. and besides, if “dumb SNO comments” on a forum were enough to make you doubt a $102k investment, that was never a sound investment to begin with.
I had 10000 storj, but the value kept going down. so it going up is a slap in the face
I am tired of this token. I only want to be paid in stable coin now. I hate being stuck in a coin where you are screwed for selling it or not selling it. If I was paid in USD, i would not have to play this stress game.
Welcome to the club. Volatile settlement instrument is such an oxymoron its’ surreal, I’m impressed operators tolerate this for pennies. I set my payout to zero and 
watch the world burn. I"ll start accepting payout when storj figures out how to pay people with something other than self-combustable candy wrappers set on fire. You are spot on – the node payment does not make up for this unnecessary turmoil.
im so close to turfing my storj nodes. i have lost $3000 already hosting the nodes, only to get $300 ---- 1/10 of the value…; so when i was suppose to get 55 per month i got $5.5
I don’t see how it’s possible. Without nodes you still are paying for the same stuff just not receiving any subsidy…
I think they build them only for Storj, despite our suggestions 
it costs electricity to stay on. internet cost money as well. Also the value earned depreciated when in storj. So 10x value lost
if storj paid in USD, nothing would of been lost.
