ich habe bei 2 Nodes einen hohen ping laut storjnet.info bei einem anderen Node (anderer Ort) nicht…
wenn ich dann noch bei uptimerobot einen der erhören Nodes anpinge ist dort die Verbindung gut…
finde den Grund dafür irgendwie nicht. Storjnet.info ist auch mein einziger Anhaltspunkt für den erhöhten Ping.

I had some similar exierience wit high pings on uptimerobot (did not know about storjnet.info back then)
The re-occuring spikes may come from the filewalker. if the nodes drive is busy, the ping goes higher. But you can not just stop filewalking.
-since i moved the databases to an flashdrive
-did defragment the drive (had around 7TB data; set the node to full via yaml file because it runs for days)
-set the loglevel to Fatal. and deleted the way to big logfile. (24GB)
the ping spikes went magicaly away.
Note, that i did not change anything exept that.

da der ping sehr stabil ist ohne große Ausreiser hat storjnet.info die Skala einfach bei den 2 Nodes geändert und sozusagen herangezoomt dadurch schaut es erstmal “schlimmer” aus
Wenn man dort die Nodes neu einträgt sieht es auch wieder besser aus.
Also nur ein Anzeige Fehler
-ssd für die Datenbank
-logdatei wird über logrotate überwacht (max 100mb)
-defragmentieren (linux war nicht nötig)
-loglevel ist noch “info” (standart)
