I’ve had a severe system failure and I have lost my node and identity key. Unfortunately there is no backup.
I want to make a new node when I get some new hardware but the emails I’m getting are saying I’m likely to be disqualified. Will this stop me from making a node in the future?
No, not at all. Disqualification is node specific and has nothing to do with your email or otherwise. You can stattup a new node, just use a new identify when you do.
There are no reasons to make node backup. If you restore from backup at any time in the future, your backup won’t have data uploaded since that backup, and node will have ever increasing chance of disqualification for losing that data.
If they lost only identity, the backup of that identity might help. If data is lost too - then no go.
