Token price swing after payout

Well, I think we’ve established that pre-hashstore, to get the performance expected by the mystery customer, the network would have to be 20× bigger.

There is a better way - set it as an item in the wallet features option. The current behavior is to ignore not known features and fall back to the next in the list, if none can be processed, by default it will be STORJ via L1 (Ethereum).

I read it 5 times and still didn’t get it.
What why how?

We did this in the past with payouts over Polygon. You will place a wallet feature to the parameter --operator.wallet-features, like --operator.wallet-features="zksync-era,USDC" or just --operator.wallet-features=USDC, if you prefer first STORJ over zkSync Era, then USDC (or USDC only).
This feature doesn’t supported, so by default you will receive STORJ over Ethereum (or first via zkSync Era, then via Ethereum), because not supported features just ignored by the payout processing, but they still stored in the satellite’s database, and the team will be able to make a report to see users’ preferences. So, some kind of voting

However, you should use a non-custodial wallet address, in case of the miracle of accepting your preference  Otherwise you may end with not supported funds on your exchange’s deposit address and will be forced to deal with the exchange’s support to recover them.

Interesting… this is super! We will stop spamming the forum and say what’s on our minds directly to the team. Gold!

I can guarantee you that.

Implementing choice is not necessarily about what the majority wants. It is about individual preferences.

A performance test once a year would be fun. I agree.

--operator.wallet-features="gold-pressed-latinum,robux,bottle-caps,pokemon,USDC"

I like the idea of telling complaining SNOs to go record their preference in a variable… that nobody at Storj will ever look at. It’s not about listening, it’s about making them feel heard. :winking_face_with_tongue:

Are you working at Storj/Inveniam? How would you know?
Until now, they always listened us. So I have confidence… and dosen’t hurt to use it; it’s just a node restart. At least we can move on and forget about this topic… until next year.

until next year month.

So, is this correct?

Docker run command:

--operator.wallet-features="USDC,EURC,STORJ"

config.yaml line:

operator.wallet-features: "USDC,EURC,STORJ"

They even sometimes responded.
Unter the new owners this seems to have changed dramatically to the worse.

Good luck.

Yes, seems correct. All three should be ignored by the payment process and fallback to STORJ via Ethereum.

th3van don’t sell the token, so I also will not sell it

. :sun:

:rocket:

Just putting this here as they seem to overhaul their offers and their website:

Customers — Payouts.com

“Pay 180,000 creators on payday in 4 minutes, not 4 days.”

Transfers — Payouts.com

ACH, RTP, FedNow, SEPA, SEPA Instant, SWIFT, Wire, PIX, SPEI, FPS, UPI, Interac.

Global Accounts — Payouts.com

Open USD, EUR, GBP, JPY, BRL, MXN — 40+ currencies — with real local rails. IBAN in Frankfurt, ACH in New York, PIX in São Paulo.

In my opinion that is exactly what Storj needs/wanted to achieve with the Storj token but with much more options.

It is unlikely that fiat will be used to pay for SNO, even if the team has read your proposals, but we will see.

Payouts.com offers cryptocurrency payouts:

https://pricing.payouts.com/

They had even offered payout with STORJ token but they may have stopped that, I don’t know:

Global Crypto Payouts | Payouts.com

New expenses are not planned anyway, we need to reduce them, not increase. So, not sure that any payouts providers could be considered.

I am with you as stated:

Storj will never use any payout method other than their own coin because their own coin is free for them. They have a nearly unlimited supply of it. Any worth it has is made up and only exists because of crypto hype and uninformed people betting on shit coins.

Once their gigantic pre-mined amount of coins is depleted, an actual economy around the coin will evolve and Storj will go bankrupt as they have to pay employees and node operators.

No? StorJ is nearly out of their treasury, the coin is not free to them. It has been so far, and has been a great vessel for them to get where they are now.

Stop with your misinformation please.
