Turning off used space filewalker

I believed I had turned off used space filewalker.

According to @clement

In my run command I have --storage2.piece-scan-on-startup false \ --pieces.enable-lazy-filewalker false \

and in my logs I see:

How can I stop the used space filewalker from running completely?

Try to use a different notation:

--storage2.piece-scan-on-startup=false \
--pieces.enable-lazy-filewalker=false \

Make sure that they are provided after the image name.

Thanks, will try. (20 chars to heaven…)

To turn off the used filewalker I used the config file

Parameters passed through a command line arguments have a precedence above parameters in the config.yaml file. You just need to make sure that they are passed to storagenode (not to docker, so thus requirements to place them after the image name in your docker run command). But generally - you are correct, they also can be specified in the config.yaml file.
For the docker setups it’s not so convenient, especially if you use docker compose, though.
