In addition to that, I think it’s fairly well known that failed/canceled uploads often end up placing the file on the node anyway and rely on GC to clean that up.

That said I am wondering what happens to the partial uploads now?

According to this the temp folder is no longer used:

The storage node writes the piece into a temp folder first, renames and moves it into the final location and tells the filesystem to sync the piece to disk. We can shorten that process. Let’s write the piece once to the final location and don’t call fsync.

Are we having thousands of partial uploaded fields now in the blobs folders inflating the used space?
