Updated to Mac Ventura and now node is not working... Help!

I do not really know where to start other than describe what is happening… Updated to Ventura and started having problems… I probably panicked and tried different things which at this point, I may have made the problem worse… Here’s the log and hopefully I can still save the node…

EDIT: Figured it out for now! I updated the docker to latest version and it looked like it is not approved to work… so i uninstalled and re-installed the old docker and re-set it up… it was shutting down about every 1 hr prior to updating docker and i thought that would help…

You should check your firewall and your external IP config. Your node is not accessible from external.

Either a firewall change or LAN IP change or something like that has occurred if it isn’t a router, port forwarding or external IP change.

figured it out for now… it looks like it was bec i updated docker which was not supported for Mac OS… hopefully it continues to be stable…

Check the standard usual suspects. Ip address (turn off mac randomization), check port forwarding, check firewall settings, etc etc. it’s not magic, just go through the steps.

You need to check usual things:

  1. Local IP of your Mac, it should match IP in the port-forwarding rule. To do not update the port forwarding rule every time when you reboot your Mac, it’s recommended to make it static, either on your router (DHCP section) or on Mac itself.
  2. Public IP: Open Port Check Tool - Test Port Forwarding on Your Router, if it’s changed, you need to update your public IP in the docker run command in the -e ADDRESS option. It’s recommended to register your own DDNS domain and use it instead of public IP to do not update it in the configuration every time when ISP changes it.

Since you using Mac, you likely need to use 2.1.0.5 version of the Docker desktop, if the latest version stops working after a while, even neither your local IP nor public IP have changed.
