I will keep you up to date but announcing it in advance isn’t going to work. Best case I can announce it a few minutes before it starts but there is also a chance that I am stuck in meetings and can give you an update hours after the fact.

These are 64 MB segments. They are a bit artifical and not representing the usage pattern we will have to deal with.

The data is still paid. The new usage pattern we all might soon get is constant high traffic and a small to medium payout. I did a calculation with some very short TTLs here: Updates on Test Data - #107 by littleskunk

Success for SLC is zero. I guess this is by design because it’s only bandwith testing so far.

Yes, that might be the reason, you are probably too far for the long tail cancellation they are currently using for the tests.
It would be interesting to know which satellites these prospective customers will be using, because as it looks like latency plays a big role with the current test settings.
Also the latency jumps a lot, maybe the bandwidth you have isn’t enough for these tests?

That part isn’t going to change. Current upload location is also the expected upload location.

The satellite doesn’t matter. Important is the connection between customer and storagenode (native) or gateway and storagenode (S3)

Yes, but if the customer’s upload location is in the US and you set the RS values to be more aggressive, then the nodes further away from the location will get cancelled the most, more than with the previous settings, suddenly making 98% success rate only for example 70% success rate, wasting 30% of the upload bandwidth.
But I believe you are aware and are planning to tune these values more.

A few weeks ago I started a thread asking how important is location for nodes. The answer was it doesn’t matter. But with the new node selection it seems to be the most important thing.
