USB External HDDs in Docker for Windows

Does anyone have any experience running a Windows 10 Docker node from an external hard drive? It looks like USB storage devices are not supported, but wanted to check and see if anyone has a workaround. Thanks in advance

The Docker desktop for Windows uses the network share as a way to bind folders into containers.
The external removable disks are not supported by Windows for the network share.
There are workarounds as well, but do not do this.
It is better to use only internal drives for storagenode.

The simplest way is to use the Windows GUI instead of Docker. However, make sure that your external drive has an external power supply. Use the folder on the drive for storage. In case if you drive disappear the node would simply to fail on start and the data will be in safe.
