I wanted to share a workflow I have been building around combining browser based Instagram media retrieval with Storj decentralized storage for a more privacy focused content archiving solution. Instagram provides no built in export option which means previously published photos and videos become inaccessible in original resolution once the local file is deleted. I have been using snapinstaink to retrieve original quality files from public Instagram post URLs directly through the browser and then uploading those files to Storj as a permanent decentralized backup. The combination works well because snapinstaink handles the retrieval step with no installation required and Storj provides end to end encrypted distributed storage that is not dependent on any single centralized provider. Has anyone else explored using Storj as a backend for social media content archiving workflows and found efficient ways to automate the upload step after retrieval.
