I recently started 2 new nodes on 2 separate ip’s.
One got vetted fast ish, and the other is still in progress on some satellites.
They are both alone in their subnet.
The one that is fully vetted, seems to get higher ingress. Which made me wonder, if anyone can tell me about the difference to ingress on vetted vs unvetted?
Is it normal to see increased ingress on vetted nodes?
I remember it was once 1% of the network ingress. Is it still?
The vetting node can receive 1%-3% of the customers uploads until got vetted. This is the current implementation. And you just confirmed, that it works as intended.
Depending on how many nodes are in the vetting period, that percent is shared between them, I believe, and you could get lower or higher ingress than a vetted node.
I started a node this year and got 3x the ingress of a vetted node, until got fully vetted.
