"WARN: trust - Failed to fetch URLs from source"

Hi guys, at first - I restarted my PC (win 11 pro, 64bit, eset antivirus) several times before and every time without any problem. Today, after the next restart, the Status is offline and Quic is misconfigured :frowning: So I checked the identity folder, firewall rules (on the PC&router) and the net time via timesynctool - everything ok and without any changesā€¦ So the next step was to check the log file - I found this:

I suppose the cause of the second error part is due to the problem mentioned in the first part of the log - so bcs of the ā€œtrust Failed to fetch URLs from sourceā€.

Unfortunately, I have no idea what to do - I tried to reset and re-set the router, fw rules (including the turn of the router&pc firewall), PC but without any success - the 28967 is still closedā€¦ So can I ask for the help and support, please?

Hello @qakk ,
Welcome to the forum!

Seems your DNS doesnā€™t work.

this also mean either DNS issues or network issues.
Please check your public IP here: Open Port Check Tool - Test Port Forwarding on Your Router and compare it with WAN IP, they should match otherwise port forwarding will not work.

Hello @Alexey, thanks for the fast reply and for the advice of course!

Unfortunately, I think itā€™s not the cause because I donā€™t use DNS, but I have a connection set up directly on IP (the IP is static - for sure I checked and it didnā€™t change. Itā€™s the same as ā€œ# the public address of the node, useful for nodes behind NATā€).

itā€™s weird, i didnā€™t do anything but suddenly the node is functional - i just came home, refresh the dashboard and everything popped up online. Anyway, thank you again for your support

Iā€™m glad it got better, but to avoid confusion for anyone else reading this later, working DNS is necessary for correct operation of a storage node.

From the context, it looks like you might have meant DHCP instead?

I think they were referring to not using DDNS (dynamic DNS) for the node external contact, and that they used a static IP address instead.

Ah, youā€™re probably right. Good call.
