When are you cashing out to FIAT?

Do you have rules, e.g. when the token is above x USD or when you have more than 50USD due to fees or do you just keep the tokens?

So far, I have accumulated around 370 Storj, which is around 120USD. I am debating whether I want to cash out now or later.

Usually i wait until i have $100 and then exchange on Sunday when fees are lower.
But fees weren’t low last Sunday :frowning:

Hello,
just user your local taxes on capital gains. If you dont need the money you could also stick it into USDT for example and get up to 6% p.a.

Kind regards

I currently don’t cash out into FIAT.
I exchange my STORJ to other crypto with abbility to stake for more gains in the long term.

To be honest, 370Storj is what I made in a little more than a year since I started my node. I don’t think that’s an amount worth investing or anything, I just want to use it to cover my electricity bill for my server. I’m still tempted to wait for higher token prices though. Although I don’t think there is a logical reason for them to go up, the supply is still getting watered down since Storj is not buying any tokens but using their pre-mined (or whatever equivalent is fitting for storj as there is no mining) supply.

I don’t see why this is not a topic that belongs into the node operators section. Who is concerned with cashing out Storj to Fiat if not node operators? Who is even supposed to be trading Storj at all except for node operators? @Alexey

Usually I convert on per-purpose basis, like when I see that I need to add a HDD to node, I try to compensate HDD cost with what amount of tokens I have, but as of right now, I think it is better to hold in anticipation of price increase.
