Who needs some free initial ETH?

i think it will be optical computing, there are certain problems with how quantum computing works… sure its great for some things… but for general computation photonic computation is like 1000 times faster than electron computation, as doesn’t run into some of the quantum restrictions, because it would be essentially the same as a current cpu, just based on light

It’s a little bit more complicated than you described:

I used to work with experimental Nb superconductor processors.

There were some problems… some of those problems are most likely not solvable… and almost all superconductor circuits will have scalability problems, regardless of the materials.

I haven’t looked too deeply into quantum computers, but as far as I understand they depend on large scale superconductor processors. If this is accurate, I’m not concerned about quantum computers and cryptographic breakage…

optalsys is already making optical coprocessors and they are quite interesting… ofc they are still not able to do general computing because it’s not really using optical transistors and such yet… but that is on the horizon.

Duno much about it tho… just that it exists and it’s much faster for some niche computation.
it used in advanced ai and genetics, but its basically analog computing… so miles to go still, but it works and is being used by some specialists on a daily basis.

Hello!
A newbie around here.
Reading a lot and trying to understand how this work.
Here´s my empty wallet ID: 0x335Be3dd6f1a9cfCb04AfbC51248572E6b079063

If someone donate, I promise continue the chain next month when I get some earnings.

Regards!

Send some eth back if you can, when you can, if you like.

Thanks!!!
When I get paid I’ll give you back.
Right now learning about the “gas” stuf… everything is new for me hehe.

@gosub and all,
the chain starts working which is a nice feeling. But somehow not everyone is getting it. So here a small explanation with the example of @Gosub
Do NOT post your eth-wallet adress here in hopiong someone sends you money!
@gosub you should have contacted @andrew2.hart via private message and ask for a donation of some iniotial-ETH. After receiving it, you shoud post here a "Thank you andrew, I am the next in line!"
Any new SNO then contacts you.
For the chain to work properly you need to do this step after you got you first Storj-payment.

@gosub do not send andrew some eth back. wait till you get contacted via PN by the next SNO. A hot candidate for that might be @yikoru who just contacted me…

maybe there is a samarian who transfers some cents (!) to the initial posted adress. Don’t do more then 20cents! because out there really are peaople enriching themselves with 2$ (shame on you again!) and destroying a nice idea.

I have eth to give away to wallets that have storj only but gosub doesn’t yet.
ps who sent me storj yesterday?! I’ll add it to the give away pool

I could use some GAS ETH, if we say each person in the chain pay it forward to 2 or 3 people
with GAS ETH then this should solve the problem for SNO’s until Storj bakes in a permanent solution.
thanks in advance… tried mining for it… but that didn’t go all that well…

Sent, Consider it payment for your help last week

thx… seems like i may have to wait before swapping storj for eth, until after we get the payout for this month.
apparently i’m Storj Poor need 170 to do a swap to eth.
did get 30 last month, and only need like 40 this month to make it work…

I used changenow and used mycrypto to send as suggested by don. above. Rubbish exchange rate but it worked

i’m just going to stick with MEW and see how that turns out, tho 170 storj to swap to eth seems a bit on the high end… but then again… thats like 20$ so i get that there needs to be some limitation, to make sure the transactions doesn’t becomes to many and/or to tiny, since each transaction cost computation.

figured i might as well test out the system, just to a bit more familiar with it.

Ok!

Everything understood. Just waiting for the month payment of my new 5 nodes.
I´ve no idea how much storj/eth/usd I will get… and I thing there´s another good question, how much eth I should give to the next person on the chain.
I learned that single eth transfer consumes 21gas, so I think that the moment I´ll help the next person, I´ve to transfer the equivalent of 22gas and that´s enough. It´s that true?

Kind regards.

It’s up to you to decide. But as you had no storj I let you free.

I like the idea… and appreciate the generosity…

That’s a very nice initiative, thanks.
But the wallet is already empty… Thanks to the guys who took advantage and gave nothing in return…
