Wondering what will happen after a few days. I would suggest to keep it running for a while, and do the same pprof after 2-3 days (assuming no out of memory events meantime

litle bit problematic, as i moved this server from intel 7700k+48Gb ram to Xeon 2680 with 160 Gb of RAM +256gb of swap on nvme so server shold be hapy, i turned it to memtbl.
I have litle more problem on other server with 12700k cpu 128gb ram, cpu during compactio go to none responce, after restart in 24h new compaction same thing

looks like this improvements will appear not faster then 1.140
I dont know, what exactly you did or how, but 69h after update all my servers are with 16-18 nodes consume only about 28-30gb, before it was almost all memory full in 24h max. It is a miracle. My servers have 96 to 160gb ram each. So may be it was some memory leakage before.
