Zksync era official discord? Phishing scam?

Hi guys, i have opted in for zksync era.
I have been using this URL to bridge things over
“txsync.io”

Recently i had troubles bridging things over from zksync to ethereum network, when picking StorJ Token to pay the gas fee the bridge wouldn’t work. But i am very sure it used to work. Now i have to load up some real eth into my wallet address so i can use it as gas fee instead of StorJ Token. Anyway, so i went to their discord which is on the bottom right of that page.

On their discord it took weeks to get a response, they have a ticketing system and were telling me they were looking into it. For a month nothing happened since i just worked around it by loading up a bit of eth and doing the transaction with eth as gas.
I poked into their discord again and i noticed i received a message on that ticket.
Whoever that guy on the ticket is, told me to “Reset RPC” on my metamask wallet.
Basically they have a guide and told me to connect to a site which is labeled as “txsync .io” but when copying the link and pasting it to a browser the URL turns from “txsync .io” into “rectifysyncfixapp.pages.dev/ae4df”

so i turn on a dummy VM and opened the link, because it seemed fishy. So i did what i was asked to, clicked on “Reset RPC” on that page, it told me to pick a wallet. I took Metamask as wallet, a dialog pops up, “Error connecting” with a button “Connect Manually”. I click on “Connect Manually”.
This page then asks me for my phrase, keystore and private key??? Now i am getting more paranoid, so i thought i would share my experience here and ask of your opinions.

I am thinking of turning off zksync era now. This whole thing seems fishy.

On that Page, which i opened in a VM with a dummy empty wallet, whatver wallet you chose there to “Reset RPC”, it asks for the recovery phrase of the wallet

Good call. Storj payments that occur once a month don’t need and dont’ beenfit from any scaling solution. Moreover, because virtually nobody is using zksync:

560/(560+3066) = about 15%.

the liquidity is horseshit, so you will lose massive amount of money on spread. And what are you gaining in return? A headache figuring out zksync. Very questionable deal.

Welcome to the forum!

I’m not affiliate with txsync, so cannot confirm. But for me personally it looks like a scam. And likely it’s not related to the company behind txsync, it’s happening everywhere around crypto. This is one of the reasons why we do not use Discord, which is full of such scammers.

However, I would ask the Storj team, maybe someone know, why they doesn’t allow you to use STORJ tokens to pay fee.

I joined the discord and followed the traces you left behind. The scammer has created a fake account and abused the fact that the admins are praising the ticket system as more secure. The scammer created a new thread in the open ticket channel and named it like a support ticket. In you screenshot you can see the real ticket 0014 as a new private channel and 0433 is the thread created by the scammer.

Admins are working on it.

Ah, i see, so that wasn’t a real txsync admin. Still i think i will opt out of zksync era.
