Zksync-era payment info

do i need to still bridge my okx wallet if okx already hsa the zksync-era option?
My node is 2 months old. How does it work? Do i need to bridge?

While Im not familiar with OKX wallets, it should still work the same regardless.
Receiving tokens in zksync-era, means that you are only able to use those tokens within the zksync-era network. If you want to be able to use the tokens in the mainnet, you will have to bridge them.

The decision of if you need to bridge them, depends on how you are going to use them. Are you planning to sell them at an exchange? Does that exchange support Storj in the zksync-era network? Are you going to swap them for another coin? And so on.

If the “recipient” (DeFi, Exchange, etc) of the token supports zksync-era, there is no need to bridge the token. If they only accept Storj in the mainnet, then you do have to bridge them. Be careful of sending the tokens in the zksync-era network to a wallet who is expecting to receive the funds in the mainnet, as that will most likely result in you losing the tokens.

Thanks for the answer, i put the address for receiving ETH via the zksync network.

I got worried as nothing arrived on my wallet after the storj node paed out, but i just read on the faq that i can take up to 24 hours. Thanks again for the answer

This is for receiving ETH deposits on zkSync Era. OKX likely doesn’t support receiving STORJ via zkSync Era. Sorry but you probably lost those coins. Contact support.

Exactly, even the OKX app says so:

Would’ve been a great opportunity though.

Hello @lory,
Welcome to the forum!

Could you please clarify, what do you name as “OKX Wallet”? If it’s OKX Web3 Wallet, your funds probably not lost, but you need to bridge tokens to the OKX deposit address, as @JWvdV said above. And you may do so using any bridge, but if you want also to pay the fee with STORJ tokens, then the only bridge which supports this so far is txSync.

If you mean that you specified the OKX exchange deposit address as your wallet in storagenode and also opted-in for zkSync Era, then your funds probably lost, and you need to contact support, as @Ambifacient said.

okay. Thanks for all the info…

Unfortunately, i linked my deposit addr. Later this day i think i will bridge my web3 address to zksync-era.

This was a giveaway that i did something wrong. Anyways, i saw on the zksync-era bridge site that i need to have a minimum balance? How does this work? (sorry for the dumb questions, but i’m new.)

For the lost funds it’s not really a big deal, just 1 dollar. I can survive without it

I do not have much of details, it highly depends on the bridge’s rules, so please do your own research.

I would recommend to use your own wallet, or at least their Web3 wallet, it supposedly should give you your private keys unlike the deposit address. This is a reason why you cannot do anything with these funds without their full participation, because they are owns keys from your deposit.
In crypto - not your keys - not your money :man_shrugging:

Thanks for the help
