well it might not look like it… but it’s mentioned here, apparently it went from 35 to 52
the repair threshold, which i had to figure out it was called lol took a bit…
basically its just maintenance to ensure against long term issues, and thus the network will most likely return to normal operation afterwards, which is usually much higher ingress
hopefully it will take another week’s time or so, then i can have time to migrate to a new zfs setup, just ordered 3 additional hdd’s so i can get my pool into a 3x raidz1 consisting of 4 drives each, and thus optimizing my redundancy losses quite a bit… running raidz1 with 3 drives now… so going to 4 with give me a 50% boost in my capacity. actually a bit more because i got a couple of 6tb drives paired with a 3tb so those i don’t even get full utilization off…
but it was an easy and good way to ensure i have plenty of raw iops… thus allowing my system to run great.
