I am saying this with utmost certainty that support won’t advise to use separate addresses. Let me make an educated guess here:

The suggested usage of different addresses could be to track V2 and V3 payouts which doesn’t break TOS. SNO must have used 2 addresses in V3 without knowledge of TOS which upon confirming “according to line in bender sheet…” proves payment was done.

It was always recommended to use same wallet address across all nodes.

Found a post older than your posted screenshot which shows SNOs did know about using same payment address.

Oh yeah, this was commonly discussed in rocket chat before the forum even existed. People have known about this for a long time.
