You will be paid the total amount of USD we owed you when it will cross the Minimum Threshold for the payment period. It will be converted to STORJ on date of sending.
We do not push you to take the market risks and accumulate your earnings in tokens.

Rather than look at it as the value going up or down, you should look at it as Storj Labs forcing you to invest in the token or not. The way it works now, you always get paid exactly what you’re owed in USD. Which is a stable currency. You don’t have to take on any token fluctuation risks if you don’t want to. But if you do, you’re still free to buy tokens yourself. Now if it were the other way around and Storj Labs would hold back the tokens in Storj amounts, you would be forced to take on th…

The reason is simple, Storj Labs doesn’t want to enforce people to take on token market risks. USD is stable so paying out in that is the most fair. If you still want to profit from the market risk, feel free to buy tokens! If they held your payout in tokens you would be forced to take on the market risk and there is nothing you can do about it. Which may be fine right now, but would definitely lead to a lot more (and more reasonable) complaints if the value drops.

If you want to take this risk - you can opt-in for L2 payouts via zkSync and withdraw to L1 (not necessarily to the same wallet, you can withdraw to L1 deposit of exchange) when you want and pay fee which you agree.
