Sorry to bother you on this, but node seem that they always will not fill the last 5 GB of the available storage, so if we have 20GB reserved it will stop downloading at 20GB + 5GB. of free storage space. Is that correct?

Yes, the node will leave ~5GB worth of space. If you really, really dislike it, you can set the node to example ~1004 GB, and then you’ll have almost filled your node, but the dashboard will round down to 1000 .)

The 5GB is fine and I get it to have a bit of a margin just in case, but 5GB and the reserved space makes it a bit redundant perhaps? Do we need more than those 5 or 10GB of total reserved space for dedicated disk? Just curious and also want to maximize the usage of my small drives.

5GB free space is hardcoded in the storagenode software. You can’t make it smaller. It’s for safety reasons. Just ignore it. It’s worthless anyways.
