how to run storage node in development mode with no use docker?
Pretty much the same as I do with FreeBSD as there is no docker for that platform.
I can expand on this later if required, but I’m off for the night now.
Thanks a lot for your help.

Hello @Leohoo27 ,
Welcome to the forum!
You can take a look on:
I’d like to share my approach to running a storage node, which is to forget about Docker and its multi-megabyte downloads of random images with stuff I already have on my computer. Besides, I have better things to do with my time than figuring out how yet another tool which I don’t need works.
Thus, I simply build it from source, then start it manually / via systemd.
#!/bin/bash
if [ $# = 0 ]; then echo "Usage: $0 v0.12.3 # current release!" >&2 ; exit 2; fi
set -ex
test -d storj || git clone …
Same deal as with the multinode dashboard preview. We don’t have a pre build installer yet. The following comands include building the installer on your machine. This one should be a bit easier to execute and doen’t require as much skill as the multinode dashboard.
First build the installer we need to install debhelper for that:
apt-get update
apt-get install debhelper -y
git clone https://github.com/storj/storagenode-deb $HOME/storagenode-deb
cd $HOME/storagenode-deb/packaging
dpkg-buildpack…
We now have a Linux storage node and updater available. The Linux installer and the new docker container are not yet available. That means for now we have to create the required services manually. If you don’t know how that works please skip this test round and come back later when we have the installer or the docker container ready. Please don’t migrate any existing storage node. Better start a fresh storage node and expect it to get disqualified. If you are still willing to help us testing t…
Thank you very much. The question is settled.
