Node disqualified...WHY?

it will contain your node ID, wallet address and email address. So up to you if you want to share the entire thing.

You can use powershell to find the relevant lines though.

Docker Powershell

docker logs storagenode 2>&1 | sls GET_AUDIT | sls ERROR

GUI Powershell

sls GET_AUDIT "C:\Program Files\Storj\Storage Node\storagenode.log" | sls ERROR

And same for GET_REPAIR

PS C:\Users\Zero\Desktop\success_rate-master> sls GET_AUDIT “C:\Program Files\Storj\Storage Node\storagenode.log” | sls ERROR

any idea how to put here the extract of txt? it doesn’tallow me to upload anything different than pics.

You don’t need to post everything, just scan through it, but I’m afraid they will all be missing file errors. It seems you’ve lost data, which sucks. Not much you can do about that now I’m afraid.

Can you look to see if the files are there just to be sure. I see the file path is no longer displayed in these logs. You can find them by looking in the blobs folder in the corresponding folder for the mentioned satellite in the following list

Then look in the folder with the first 2 characters of the piece ID and in that folder the file with the rest of the piece ID characters.

thank you for that information, i think it will be helpful for everyone.
I found few like this:

C:\Program Files\Storj\Storage Node\storagenode.log:4985:2021-07-06T18:47:09.866+0300 ERROR piecestore download failed

I searched for a file with name “NCZE255MWYA7KX3FUGMAHTJVMNU4DA2UW3TIXLIZKSCNH3YBOA” in the folder “F:\StorJ\blobs\pmw6tvzmf2jv6giyybmmvl4o2ahqlaldsaeha4yx74n5aaaaaaaa\gq”, but couldn’t find it. Am I following you instructions correctly?

I tried searching for few more files like this and couldn’t find any of them. So … did I lose them few weeks ago, when I had hdd issues? Can this somehow be checked? Because I checked my hdds yesterday and they did not have any bad sectors. My question, more or less is, What are the reasons to get such errors and maybe slight drop in the audits?

I noticed that this folder is 245GB. Now that I am discqualified from this node … what happens with the data? Should I delete this folder within the blobs folder?

That looks correct, but you can always verify by trying to find another piece ID from the log for a successful transfer.

There isn’t really a way to find out which pieces you should have. It seems you are failing relatively few audits, so your node will likely survive on other satellites.

I don’t like recommending you remove data, so I won’t. But I believe the satellite doesn’t delete data on your node once it has been disqualified. Maybe a Storjling could chime in to give advise on what to do in such cases.

The satellite does not delete the data once your node is disqualified on it. This is why I made a post here.

I voted.
I will not delete the folder for now.
thank you.

My node has been disqualified. How can I find out why and what information do you need? I would like to get it back online asap.

Hello @gacostarua ,

If you could please provide your logs and node stats (like this Node disqualified...WHY? - #82 by zeroheat) , that will give us a place to start.
