Node fill status poll (older than 12 months)

I’m just wondering about the current growth of nodes today.

Mine: 24 months old nodes: average 8/10 TB paid data on 18/20tb hdds

PS: 15 months nodes about the same… 7/8

Now that the TTL/SLC data has been washed away… looking back over about a year now… I’d say we’re growing at about 10GB-per-day per-/24 (as a long-term average). So for a SNO with a single IP… that would be around 10GB x 365days = around 3.5-4TB/year?

I’m interested to hear what others are seeing!

It growed faster. I’m stuck at half disk filled for a while (not counting the ups and downs during the testing period). More data more deletion, it’s not steady growth over time.

I started in April 2023, with one node. I extended it during previous year, so that all nodes are older than 10 months now. I got about 25 of them with a total size of 60T. Total size is now 35TB, meaning an average growth of about 2TB/month.

1 ip 60T?
The question is about how much a single node (1 IP) has grown over the months.

No, 2 IPs.
So then it would be 1TB/IP/month = 12TB/IP/yr.

Since a year ago I saw a total increase of 5 TB. Location: Europe.

December 2019 node, and only 8.36TB.
Was 20TB during testing

5 almost 9 month old nodes, each with a /24. Past 9 days has be at 1.736TB increase in size, so almost 40GB a day.

My oldest money-maker started in 01.2021.
Last month got finaly filled at 15TB allocated.
With the huge deletes this year, it’s hard to give a steady growth number. I will put my data later, when I get home.

Got half of my data deleted this month. And it’s still shinking. No real customer I think.

There isn’t really a point to conceptualize a real new growth rate; as I believe they are still pushing test data through US1. At least my oversized expiration dbs indicate that. Any guestimates will be over inflated until that stops.

We do not push test data through US1, it is a customer facing satellite.

My nodes receives ~100GB/day after they cleaned up from the garbage (interestingly, that 70% of the garbage was from US1), three nodes, one IP, close to Europe. 6TB from 9.28TB

How old are they?

20 char

So that was entirely SLC? When testing started, I do recall a few customers blaming the testing for them having difficulties with throughput.

Is all the capacity reservation, now trashed?

i’ve seen last test traffic on 30 august, so 30 day garbage should steel be removing.
That’s what i see every day )

It was reservation. But not anymore since the customer has choosen to use Select network instead of us. So it’s just a waste. Lol.

100GB each node or 100GB for total? Did you subtract that number from the amount of data deleted daily? I get about 30GB per node. But the total used space still shinking because the deleted data always bigger than received data.

How is it just a waste ? Do you not see the improvements and progress made over use of TTL data. The issues that were found and fixed. The fixes that are getting deployed.

Did you also miss the part about multiple PB customers being in the pipeline !
