Node running but browser dashboard not working

Good morning,

I was hoping that someone might be able to help me out with my node. I’m a bit of a novice, but got the node running on a rock 4 SE with an external 5TB HDD.

I set up and started the node with the docker command outlined in the get started guide, and using the cli dashboard it shows that the node is online and running properly.

However, when I go to the web UI, shows offline, 0B of storage and no satellite connections (attached image). Does anyone have any idea why this might be happening?

Could you provide what browser you are using and output from browser console?

Your screenshot is from 5 minutes after starting. I would wait a bit and then fully refresh the page (Not just use the refresh button in the tool itself) and it should show you different results. When a node first starts up, the dashboard doesn’t necessarily have all the correct information as the node is still running some processes which can delay it for a little bit.

I am using Brave browser, the output from the console is as shown in attached picture.

I have tried refreshing it now and it says " 192.168.1.183 refused to connect."

Is the node itself still running? You can check the logs for ‘fatal’ to see if it may have crashed.

As far as I am aware it is still running, the disk space used is increasing.

Are you on Windows? Strange that it was working and then stopped. Firewall? I would check the logs to see if there are errors.

Please try to use a different browser.

Opening the dashboard on a different browser yields the same results.

A few more questions:

  • what operating system you are using?
  • did you try different browser?
  • are you able to provide console.address your node has configured?
  • can you check if you are able to access http://<node_ip>:14002/api/sno/satellites?

The upload canceled is normal. Your node was slower than other nodes during this particular transfer. When that happens, your connection is dropped when another node has fulfilled the transfer request. This is normal behavior as all nodes lose some races.

  • console.address: 0.0.0.0:14002

  • This site can’t be reached

192.168.1.183 refused to connect.

Then you need to check your logs for a FATAL errors, they are interrupt the Storagenode to run.
