November 13, 2024: October payouts complete

Hello! Payouts for the completed month of October are done.

zkSync Era

zkSync Era payments went off without trouble again this month; we paid 489 unique addresses, which is once again the most yet! zkSync Era adopters received a 3% bonus and were paid out if they cleared the minimum payout threshold, which appears to have been at least $0.10.

You can opt into zkSync Era adding the following to your config file:

operator.wallet-features: ["zksync-era"]

or to your commandline:

--operator.wallet-features=zksync-era

Note that you need to update your configuration if you formerly had opted into vanilla zkSync Lite.

Layer 1

For layer 1 payments, we paid 1,795 unique wallet addresses. We paid everyone who earned $12.06 or more.

A reminder that the minimum payout threshold is currently set such that fees are not to exceed 25% of the transferred amount.

Just a reminder that if you want to know the amount of USD a particular storage node payment transaction was considered denominated in, please check out our cost basis tool. You’ll need to enter your payment transaction:

Final thoughts

Across all layers, we paid 2,276 unique addresses. As always, if you have more questions, please make sure you’ve read through our mega FAQ .

Shouldn’t the title say “November 13” instead of “September 13”?

Just for fun I collected the number of unique wallets that were paid from the last 12 month’s posts. If someone is interested:

(zksync is the sum of Lite and Era)

I wonder if the drop was due to all the test/TTL data being washed away: so way fewer SNOs met the minimum-payout?

I’d wager it’s more likely due to the retiring of ZKsync legacy, and the inaction of those users to adopt zksync era. Hence, the consistent increase in payouts to L1 since the decrease.

For the drop with zksync, it’s because many zksync-lite users still haven’t switched to zksync-era, and that drop is when we stopped supporting zksync-lite.

For the fluctuation with L1, that’s almost purely due to gas fee fluctuation.
