Hi all,
I am building a project collaboration tool, driveX.com , integrated with Storj nodes.
Please take a look and let me know your thoughts.

Hey driveX, welcome to the community!
I like the project and I’m thrilled you chose Storj .
How has it been going so far?
Looks very nice.
However this:
Blockchain storage
and this:
Users enter into peer-to-peer (P2P) smart contracts on blockchain-based decentralized storage node.
is not really how Storj DCS works.

Thanks for your note.
What would you say would be an accurate description instead ?
Well there is simply no blockchain involved in data storage and there are no smart contracts.
Storing data on blockchain is too expensive and inefficient as for upload and for the access. The only small chunks of data can be stored on blockchain and also in most cases they are immutable, i.e. you can’t delete or edit it. To make change you must generate the next block with that change. It’s not fast.
And also the size of the blockchain will include all world data, at the moment it’s greater than 460 Exabytes. And you would need to store it on the each node in the network, because blockc…
We get this question from time to time; here is an explanation of how Storj and blockchain relate

I think the smart contracts with farmers and renters were the previous v2 of Storj. But they are no longer.
