Why new nodes get data so fast

Short answer is that Storj has decided to push a lot of test data into the network: both so they can tune performance, and to reserve capacity for some large customers who will (hopefully) arrive shortly.

The bad news is that most/all of that test data has a time-to-live of 30 days… so if they don’t constantly keep pushing fresh test data in… it will delete itself in a month and your node will get smaller.
