August 7, 2024, July payouts complete

Hello! Payouts for the completed month of July are done.

zkSync Era

As we announced was coming four months ago, last month we finally stopped support for zkSync Lite. We now only support layer 1 and zkSync Era.

zkSync Era payments went off without trouble again this month; we paid 407 unique addresses, which is once again the most yet! zkSync Era adopters received a 3% bonus and were paid out if they cleared the minimum payout threshold, which appears to have been at least $0.05.

You can opt into zkSync Era adding the following to your config file:

operator.wallet-features: ["zksync-era"]

or to your commandline:

--operator.wallet-features=zksync-era

Note that you need to update your configuration if you formerly had opted into vanilla zkSync Lite. We are working on updating the storage node dashboard to no longer say zkSync is set up correctly if zkSync Lite is the only version enabled.

Layer 1

For layer 1 payments, we paid 3,787 unique wallet addresses. There is no specific minimum payment threshold but it appears that for standard payouts, the pipeline was able to pay out for people who earned $2.19 or more.

A reminder that the minimum payout threshold is currently set such that fees cannot exceed 25% of the transferred amount.

zkSync Era support in Storj Satellite reminder

As a reminder from three months ago, if you’ve been waiting, we now support paying your Storj account (on us1.storj.io , ap1.storj.io, or eu1.storj.io) via zkSync Era! Note that we did not and do not intend to add support for zkSync Lite, so be careful of the distinction. Nonetheless, you can now use your storage node earnings to pay your Storj bill if you have one via zkSync Era.

Cost basis tool

Just a reminder that if you want to know the amount of USD a particular storage node payment transaction was considered denominated in, please check out our cost basis tool. You’ll need to enter your payment transaction:

Final thoughts

Across all layers, we paid 4,176 unique addresses. As always, if you have more questions, please make sure you’ve read through our mega FAQ.

4 posts were split to a new topic: Has anyone yet discovered an inexpensive way to convert zksync-era STORJ to US dollar

I have not received any payments. What am i doing wrong? Not for about 2 months…

Did you clear the minimum threshold?

I will see when at home!

Please note that if you were opted in to zksync (lite) you will now have to clear the L1 payout threshold as your payouts will only be sent over L1 ethereum now, zkSync Lite has been deprecated. If you want to receive payouts more often you would need to opt in to zksync Era now.

What’s the minimum amount? From the previous payments the limits were always fulfilled!

Don’t worry mate, you don’t loose the payout. It’ll arrive next month instead if you clear the threshold

This was the first month that I tried getting a payout to ZKsync Era instead of Lite and things went smoothly. I operate a few nodes and I’m also a consumer of Storj for my business, so I really like the fact that I can now directly pay for my Storj consumer account by depositing the earnings from my nodes directly into my Storj deposit wallet, and get the 10% bonus.

You get 13.3% bonus total actually. 3% for getting paid out over zksync era and 10% on top of that for paying with tokens for Storj.

Even better, I forgot about the 3% bonus on zksync era. Sweet
