Who doesn’t like free stuff ! So a disappointment is a valid sentiment here IMO.
Part 2:
The main gist of the post is not getting any notification via an email alert which could have meant losing data in case OP’s account was suspended or deleted.

@tjozwik You are very lucky that you did log in to your account to notice the change in membership tiers. Storj devs are reading this thread and they will make sure customers like you get the email notification in time. Please note, the email provider that Storj uses, sends out emails on regular basis but they also have to make sure sending such vast amount of emails doesn’t flag the service as “spam” or “mass advertisement”.
Please note our Terms of Service, Section 3 (d) vi, which state:
“Company may change or eliminate any Promotional Credit at any time, without notice, including, but not limited to any coupon, or Promotional Credit designated as a free trial or free tier.”
We did include a warning banner upon account login as well as posted this thread on the forum, notifying of the upcoming change. Unfortunately, due to the reasons mentioned by @nerdatwork we were unable to also notify all Free Tier users by email.

I want to download my bucket, where are the option to simply DOWNLOAD, the entire bucket?

Please research e2 better. Not just price, even thought it’s tempting. Cost of downtime and quality of support mostly, when things go wrong. If you haven’t yet experienced things going wrong with iDrive — you haven’t tested not nearly long enough.
It’s none of my business but I think you are making huge mistake. Even B2 or Wasabi would be better than IDrive.

In this thread alone there have been two new posters who promote iDrive. Note that there was a case of many bot accounts on the Datahoarder subreddit of them pretending to be real customers.
On a separate forum I’m moderating I’ve caught iDrive shilling too - new accounts singing praises, comparing with b2, even similar sentence structure. They don’t even try to hide. Or are both, unethical and incompetent.
