How does one become a Satellite?

I would like to know if it’s possible to create your own satellite in the storj network? I’ve tried to setup the satellite cli from the source code but got stuck with master DB.
Just asking, since this is OPEN SOURCED, How can we actually run or be another Satellite Node selling dataspace to others, not just based on the current 6? If we are to get more people on board and earn money, this has to go forth.
I have a 10Gbps DIA here to be the Sat and wondering what exactly is needed.

Little is known about it, at least I could not find a lot of information on the topic. I understand that is SoonTM but I was hoping if someone has some more information. Is there a Beta coming that I could sign up for? What would be the hardware and connection requirements(no doubt those would be high). Any inf…
Is there compensation for running a satellite? I can’t find any clear answer for this. Also information related to setting up a satellite is very opaque.

Why? Do you expect to be given free money?
Running a satellite is like running a business. You would be responsible for paying node operators and should be covering that by earning money from customers. You can choose how to run that satellite. And you can even choose not to use STORJ tokens at all.
