This is one of My 2 nodes. A pi with a 4Tb and 2TB 3.0 usb with a powered hub, enclosed in the box on the ceiling.

any reason for it to be mounted on the ceiling/pipes, in a cardboard box?

Well yes. This is in My parents House and i needed it to be out of the way (Its in the room Where they wash clothes).

And My dad was Like: “if you are gonna do your servers in My House, make sure i cant turn them off” :rofl::rofl:

So Yea - Weird setup, but No one sees it so kinda perfect

How much have you filled that so far? (480 TiB raw?)
I am closing in on 15TiB stored data for the last 18 months.

The sure aren’t going to see it after it burned the house down. I’d prefer a metal computer case just for peace of mind…

Cardboard wont burn at 40 degress without a flame first lol

A burning capacitor can however reach a bit above 40 degrees :wink:

yeah , i did setup of an eth mining rig also

Eth can be mined up to end of year may be some tome more, but it go to Eth 2.0 then no mining?
so why invest to it?

its gpu mining u can always change to any coin bitcoin,etc … and who said invested … already had em for years !

How many nodes do you run on that pi? 6?

9 storagenodes but it is mostly chia plots (60TB)
