The solution to create a windows service by my own seems more complicate! Instead the upgrade of the toolbox would be easier and sate time for all users….
it is several reasons why service, it work after restarts itselt, people dont forget to update
I use it for several years already, for me it works great.
It looks several last releses nodes turn of very long time for some reason, thats why I added so big delay for turn off.
I also wating 1.13 to check how it works also after i added some features.

Than you all for feedback, as there is 1.13 released, i had plenty of possibilities to test.
found error, that node statud need to be refreshed every time before check.
Also added node more statured to node when service is running, stopping, stopped, starting
so if service cant stop you will see pending stop(need to test this function)

i tried to install the new version, i first stopped and deleted the old service advanced_storagenode_updater (from the release a week ago since there is no uninstall button)
Then i pressed install to the new toolbox and i get error. It doesnot install the updater.
I think because it old map in Program Files > advanced_storagenode_updater
delete it
in future, you dont need to delete service, just stop it, take file from toolbox, and change it in folder, than start it again.
οκ…i deleted the folder of the updater in program files and now i did it. the new toolbox installed the updater fine…thanks!
It’s working for me! Interesting thing to note, my main node was on 1.12 but the updated brought everything up to 1.13.2 → seems like it doesn’t follow the version indicator that storj uses? But that’s fine w/ me
This service not update from nodes, it check last version on versions.storj.io and download it from github and update. thats why it ia advanced_storagenode_updater
it check every 24-72h randomly
Sorry @Vadim , but this version not update the nodes that has the configuration personalized for the path of the log file. It’s true?

I dont know about this problem, i have one server where it was personalized log location also, and it works. it dont care about logs, it just stop service, cange exe file, and start service. what error do you get?
I have resolved. Restarted the service and the update is running. Thanks
